Kenya Anais began writing music at 7 years old. After focusing on cheer and fashion in high school, her passion for music returned in college when her brother and uncle encouraged her to rap. She started recording with local producers and performed at open mics, eventually releasing music on Reverb Nation and SoundCloud.

After marrying, becoming a mother, and rebuilding her relationship with God, Kenya took a long pause to reflect on the type of music she wanted to create, erasing everything online except the "Aggieland Cypher 2013" and "Bawsed Up" from 2020. Embracing her spirituality, she shifted her focus to creating "light music," with the goal of uplifting and inspiring young girls and women. She is committed to making music that serves God and empowers her listeners, rather than contributing to the negative stereotypes of Black women in America. With Caribbean and East Texas roots, this 1st generation Houstonian is set to release her debut album, Lead The Way, in 2025, showcasing her unique blend of faith, empowerment, and artistic passion.
